Each data group performs a specific function, determined by its type. The type (such as CSV, SQL etc.) will be selected when the data group is created, and comes from a list of types specified by the fSeries system administrator.

Depending on the type, a plugin may be required within fData to manage options specific to that data group. These options will appear under a section specified directly beneath the placeholders section. The label for this option depends upon the plugin installed.
